Tabcorp in keno win

Gaming giant Tabcorp has won the lucrative sole licence to run keno in Victorian clubs, hotels and betting outlets.Under the 10-year licence, estimated by experts to be worth about $25 million a year in revenue to Tabcorp based on similar Australian stand-alone licences, the company will also be able to run simulated racing games.NSW and Queensland have single keno operators.Keno is currently run by gaming operators Tatts Group and Tabcorp Holdings in approved hotels, clubs and wagering outlets, with the new licence to start in April 2012.Gaming Minister Michael O'Brien said Tabcorp would be required to comply with the responsible gambling code of conduct.
